So it’s been about three weeks since my move to Johannesburg, South Africa. So far, it has been good and this city is super beautiful. I haven’t started missing New York City or the U.S. yet because Johannesburg literally has everything that I could possibly want/need. The only thing that I am still getting adjusted to is the time difference.Read More
I was born in Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY to Trinidadian parents in the early 90s.
At the age of 5 I moved to San Fernando, Trinidad where I lived and went to school for a year. Although I was only 5, I was still a little Brooklyn girl and everyone at my Primary school knew it by my Nike sneakers. We had school uniforms and at that time (early 90s), the kids weren’t wearing Nike’s to school.

It's the end of August -- pretty much September -- & Summer has flown by.
I feel like my Summer was spent working with a bit of travel mixed in -- I went to France in June/July and it was amazing!
I worked A LOT -- 12, 15 even 18 hour days and sometimes I worked on the weekends. Working in episodic television can be overwhelming, draining & all of the above. On most days I felt overworked and unmotivated.
Work began to consume me and I quickly became uninspired & bored.
Traveling has truly become one of my favorite things to do. I travel to learn about different cultures, people and history.
I travel for inspiration and I’ve noticed that I feel very connected with myself when I travel.
Sometimes I get so caught up with the excitement of a new city that I forget to practice self- care.
Self-care isn’t only important for when you’re going through your daily life, working, etc. – It is also very important when traveling.Read More
This is my third (second fill day) in Paris and I really love this city so far. Paris has always been a city that I wanted to visit but I never did. I heard from people who visited that it's overrated and a dirty city but that has not been my experience. This further proves to me that you cannot completely listen to what people have to say about certain situations, people, place, things...etc.Read More
