The older I get, the less I care about what people think.
I remember I would care what others thought (while saying I didn't, of course) and as a result it would hinder me from putting myself out there.
2018 has been the year of putting myself out there more and showing people what i'm capable of. Even starting this blog has been a part of me putting myself out there more. I've been wanting to start a personal blog for a while but was too scared of what people would think -- I was also scared of it being too late to start a blog since blogging has become oversaturated.
This is when I had to realize that we are all tailor made.
As a believer in God, I truly believe that God has made us all for a special reason/purpose. I also believe (shout out to my mom for engraining this in me) that what God has for you is for you and no one can take that way from you. Why should we spend our time worrying about what people think and not putting ourselves out there?
So what if having a blog, starting that business, being a musical artist...etc. is "oversaturated"? If God has that plan for you and if that's what you enjoy doing, why not go for it?
I have to remind myself daily that I am tailor made and in order to get what I want out of life, I have to do what I enjoy and put myself out there shamelessly.
We are almost half way through 2018 -- have you been going after what you want?
